The last few days before leaving Las Palmas were relatively calm as Guy and Rose had done all the hard work while we were back in England.

 

Every last inch of fridge and freezer space had been filled, any spare lockers were now also full of food or water and the fruit was once again swinging in its hammocks

 

 

The Fair Laurie from Lagoon came to see us with hats and glasses for everyone

 

 

We walked past the place that now has all my money

 

 

The Chandlers, and then on to the Skippers Meeting,

 

 

186 skippers and their first mates listening carefully to the instructions for tomorrow

 

finally we were ready, so off for a crew curry and fireworks,so excited about our departure in the morning

 

 

Sunday, and i hand over to one of the boys to create the race day diary entry
