Yesterday the forecast was showing a northerly Gale followed by 25knt southerly winds. The 100 miles off of South Africa are affected by the Agolis current which runs south. Apparently with strong winds in the opposite direction (southerlies) the seas can be mountainous & dangerous. So we need to avoid the gale & then wait till the southerly winds die down. If we had kept sailing we could have made Monday but we are slowing down for the weather & it now looks like Wednesday. Other than that all is good on board.
