Starting to hit bigger seas and so we are keeping the boat speed around 6knts max to stop the slamming into the waves.
Yesterday in the afternoon the in-mast electric motor stopped working. This is not a major problem as I simply dis-engaged the motor and now we use a winch handle but we do have to go to the mast to do it. So, not a single handed job at night!
Then this morning as the wind died at 0700 and the rest of the crew were asleep, I unfurled all the genoa and after a few minutes the strop at the head of sail broke. All hands on deck and we pulled down the genoa. Now the halyard was still at the top of the mast so I had to go up and get it. Not only that but it took a lot of pulling once I was up there. Anyway, all good now & back sailing north.

The forecast that was promising big wind shifts for us to tack on have now gone so we will have to see what the next few days bring.
