Greg picked up Sophie and Sam in the dinghy from Kata Beach in the morning and we then motor sailed for about 5.5 hours - the kids were keen to sail but with easterly winds we were headed directly into the wind. We arrived at Koh Phi Phi Don in the mid afternoon and anchored close to the same spot we had been previously. Mitch, Elle, Sophie and Sam got in the dinghy and went to find some accommodation for the night, but to no avail as the party island was full of backpackers! I went for a kayak and the kids towed Elle and I in the kayak to Monkey Beach for a walk and a swim. Despite the island being totally overdeveloped and overcrowded with tourists the coral reefs near Monkey Beach were still in tact and had some pretty marine life.

Dadang and the kids all went for a big night out on Phi Phi, while I cooked for Greg and I on the boat. The loud music was totally insane and started at 8.30pm and didn't stop until 4.30am. So much for their massive night out- Greg picked them up at 1.30am - but they enjoyed the experience, especially the fire dancers and their different tricks as well as the bucking bull ride - Elle was the winner after staying on for 2.5 mins and even Dadang managed to stay on for 1min.
The kids were amazed at how loud the music was on the boat as we got a mix of the music from all of the bars on the beach and the water magnifies the sound.

The next morning Sam and Sophie left to catch a ferry back to Phuket Island where they had booked a really nice resort at Karon Beach for the remainder of their stay in Thailand. We decided to stay 1 more night so Mitch and Elle could go out, but after a few hours of massages, lunch and wandering around the island, they wanted an early night back on the boat.
