Tuesday 4th May – Itéa - Andíkirion

This morning we had breakfast enjoying the view from the cockpit across the large bay (Krissaíos Kólpos).  Late morning, although there was no wind, we decided to move on further along the coast.  We enjoyed an eerie, misty passage around the headland to Andíkirion, another sheltered harbour, but one we hadn’t heard much about on our travels.

We arrived to find only one other visiting yacht here, who had only just arrived and we have moored up along a wall next to the lighthouse on the end of the small quay.

Andíkirion is a small town with a number of restaurants along the front and very friendly locals; the pilot book says it is used mainly by Greek tourists. Tonight we have a great view of the mountains from the cockpit as we eat dinner.  The only downside is that the lighthouse is a popular evening meeting point so it is a bit noisy.
