Tuesday 23rd September – Carloforte, Isola di San Pietro, Sardinia

Today we were up late after a very late night (ok, morning) and breakfast became brunch.  We weren’t missing anything though, the weather was cool (22 degrees) and it was raining periodically.

After brunch the weather cheered up and we went to explore the bit of town that we missed yesterday – the old fort up the hill.  You can walk along the walls but we couldn’t find a way up onto the turret at the end, so we walked back along the edge of town and down the main street back to the boat.

This afternoon Richard topped up the fuel tank from our jerry cans so we now have some fuel to carry on.

This evening we went out for pizza with Sarah, David, Bethany and Bryn from Cape – the restaurant was full with mainly locals and the pizza was very good.  We got back to the boat just in time – about five minutes later it started raining.
