Last night was quiet and we slept really well.  Sedna left very early this morning to sail on around to Porto Colom.

This morning I finished and installed the final mossie net so we now have complete coverage for the hatches and the companion way J  We will test the set-up for a while and see if it keeps the blighters out.  At the moment we only get one or two but we know that we will need the nets in anger in some places.

Richard managed to finish his book today, however, as it is the first of a trilogy, he is now starting on the next book.

This afternoon we refuelled with diesel as we have been working through our reserves.  Normally we would just take Pyxis alongside in the marina but being reluctant to disturb our anchor or lose our anchor spot we decided instead to take our empty jerry cans ashore in the dinghy.  This proved a remarkably painless exercise – the marina entrance is only a few hundred metres away and the fuel attendant helped load the full cans into the dinghy.  Even better the price of fuel has gone down whilst we have been here – nevertheless the bill was still a big ouch.  On board Pyxis we now have a siphon which makes putting fuel in the tank from cans very quick and easy.

This evening I cooked dinner in the microwave, using the generator as our shore power.  It is quite good as I don’t have to light the gaz and heat the boat in this hot weather.  It was a little tricky sorting the balance of the settings to use on the generator but we have it now.
