Monday 9th June – Isla Perdiguera, Mar Menor

Last night we had a fitful sleep, up every few hours to review the busy anchorage in the strong winds.  Not without reason it turned out…

We awoke at around 1.30am and looked outside to see one of the anchored boats coasting past us on its way out to the middle of the sea as its anchor had come loose in the strong winds; we saw another yacht further out signalling to it with a search light to try to warn it – this other yacht was further out than it had started the evening and had had its own problems.

The strong winds and cloud have continued all day, but it is warm and there is not the swell that we had at Ilha da Culatra so it has been more comfortable.

This evening the wind continues…
