At last, we woke up to a beautiful morning - blue skies and summer temperatures - wow.

We got up and started on our necessary routine maintenance as with longer passages ahead we need to ensure we have all the basics done (laundry, fuel, food, water, etc.) having run low on most things over the last week.  With the weather fair, it was difficult not to simply set off on our way.

Richard tended to jobs on the boat whilst I had fun with the laundry again – this turned into a bit of a marathon, still, no washing powder streaks this time!

Early afternoon our chandlery supplies arrived so we have a couple more little projects – e.g. the plastic cover for the anchor locker drain which got broken by the mooring buoy at Yarmouth has been repaired this evening.

Having filled and stowed the spare fuel cans, we needed to move Pyxis along the pontoon to provide space for any late arrivals – in the end we spun her on the spot using the light wind and the warps and then moved her back a bit, so hopefully getting out tomorrow should be more straightforward as we won’t have try to reverse out given the strong prop kick.

We finally set off to restock on food this evening.  Fortunately there is a Co-op superstore nearby.  Unfortunately it was directly uphill to get to it, however, the downhill run made returning laden with bags a lot easier (particularly as we had forgotten to take the folding trolley).

Finished the day late, having re-stowed everything, with a chicken dinner for Richard and fresh mackerel for me.
