Monday 10th December – Lagos

After the Navigators Net on Ch 77 at 9.30 we had breakfast up in the cockpit – the sun and blue sky are back today.

Stephen and Anne came by and after coffee we persuaded Anne to come with us on a run-out to Cabo São Vicente – Stephen stayed behind to continue project Curtain.  There were quite a few surfers out in Praia de Belixe taking advantage of some big waves crashing onto the beach.  On the West Coast there were some even more serious breakers going on further up the coast.

On the way back we visited the fishing port of Baleeira which was very picturesque and then Praia de Luz, again a pretty beach resort.

After lunch Brian and I went off to explore Lagos (and Pingo Doce on the way back for dinner).  Richard stayed on Pyxis and fitted the lights and brackets – so we are now floodlit in the saloon this evening.

Tonight we have been up to the hotel to catch up on the weather and Skype; and now I am cooking a late supper.
