Readers will be pleased to know that the weather has improved over the last few days, the sun has been out and it is nearly as warm as the UK (though the forecast is not looking great for next week).

This morning, having been timed out last night, Richard added the oil to the engine, ran it up, and then topped up to the correct level, thus finishing the engine service.  I cleaned and tidied the front cabin, aired and changed the bed, sorted washing for the washing machine and then, with a single washing machine and a marina full of people, found myself at the back of a very long queue.  I decided to wait and do it in the evening.

We then started on the refitting the genoa, but just as we got the sail bag on the fore deck, the wind turned and promptly started to build, and so that job had to be put on hold.  Instead Richard got a hair cut.  Afterwards, duly scalped, he headed off into town for supplies whilst I continued with chores on board.

Late afternoon, once Richard had got back, there was lull in the wind and we quickly took the opportunity to hoist the genoa.  With another job done, we joined Russell aboard Aqua Domus for a cribbage match and a drink whilst the sun went down – it’s been a while since any of us have played so we were all a bit rusty, however, suffice to say that Russell and I were thoroughly beaten by Richard L

This evening we have had dinner whilst tending the washing machine.  The wet clothes are now folded and ready to put out in the morning.

Late this evening we heard the sound of a boat by our bows; we went to help it into a space just up from us, it had just arrived here from Italy.
