The next morning after we got back from our 300mile passage we fitted the new Iridium sat phone, hopefully this is going to allow me to do a spot of blogging to keep all my armchair sailing fans up to date on progress.

At the end of the pontoon , 3 people in overall and gloves were lifting up the pontoon decking . Upon inquiry they are an environmental charity reintroducing oysters into the River Hamble. The oysters are in special netting cages, inside a larger cage as apparently they need to be in close proximity to mate. ......don’t we all ?

The reassured me the oysters were not going to escape and start colonising the bottom of purple mist. Whilst it could make a nice lunch it’s not going to help the speed dragging round some bivalve molluscs.
