Thursday eve Wildlife day

Evening all,
Pretty calm day out ere. Had a go and changing the headsail this morning but failed as the breeze built just at the wrong time so gave it up as a bad idea and went to sleep (hoorah)!
We lost a bit of ground as the wind came more E and pushed us off course :(. After another doze this pm (hoorah again) I cast 2 lines out for some fish - another fail aside a very interested seagull who dive bombed the lines 3 or 4 times!
I got a proper smack from a flying fish first thing this morning which made me jump and Ali laugh at my distress as we discussed sailing techniques (how many beers Nigel should buy when we get in).
Got the kite up now for the run in I hope :)
Found a huge black bug thing in my T shirt today - didn't look like a cockroach thankfully.
So a seagull, many flying fish and a black bug thing make this wildlife day. Just as well Susan and I saw some dolphins and a whale on the day sail back from Fuertaventura as there seems not much else out 'ere.
Better go, cheers and more and more beers (Nigel)!
