Well, we have enjoyed 4 nights on our anchor here in the peace and tranquil bay of Portimatx. Of the group that were here when we arrived, only ourselves and Polyanna (Stuart and Carol) remain. Stu and Carol are relatively new to the international sport of cruising, so we have spent a few hours drinking and generally chewing the fat around anchors, engines, watermakers and boat miscellany in general. Hours of fun, and a few G&T’s as well

We have decided to harness the generally south westerly wind direction and move on to Mallorca tomorrow, as it’s only a tad over 60 miles away. The plan is toleave before dawn on Wednesday and spend a few days in Soller on the north east coast, before reviewing our plans again. We have a fixed point, which is Alicante around the 26th, so will likely harness any sustained northerly quadrant wind to do get back to the mainland of Spain.

We have been invited to Polyanna for our last Ibizan supper (for the time being) tomorrow night, so looking forward to that.
