Madeira to Gibraltar, day 3. 35 01.023N 10 18.030W

Persephone... Cruiser/Racer
Nigel & Karen Goodhew...
Tue 1 May 2018 19:16
Today has been a calm steady day's sailing. The wind has been light, 10 to 13 knots, and we have been reaching on white sails towads Gib.

The crew of Persephone is rested and relaxed, having each, in their individual ways, devised and mastered tecniques to overcome the lack of a working loo. It has been surprising how varied and ingenious the solutions have been.

Tonights supper is a beef stew, cooked in its own jus, served on a bed of crushed madeiran potatoes and acompanied by broccoli and carrots. Observers will note the increasd complexity of our supper is inversely proportional to our angle of heel.

Karens ankle, injured walking in Madeira, still gives jip, but the swelling seems to be reduced.

Otherwise, all well.
