Fist, apolgies, dear reader. Our best intentions to post news on our progress across the famed Bay of Biscay were thwarted by an inomplete education in the ways and wherefores of Windows XP and the Satphone modem.

Anyway, we arrived late on Saturday, after a swift crossing, with a building breeze from the north west, which went first left, to the west, then a big right shift to the north east, and we surfed into the bay of La Coruna in 27 Kt of the stuff!

And, from about 35 mles out, the sea built into some big waves reminiscent of our last Atlantic adventure.

Sunday was a tidying and admin day, fixing our communiations, and so on. Then an evening meal in the "old own" and a chance to soak up some Spanish atmosphere...the Sunday evening promenade is really quite something.  For the record, we enjoyed a fine parillade..a sort of mixed grill....for two, preceded by starters of ham egg and chips, Spanish style, and some roasted peppers..quite suficient, thank you.....while Belgium prevailed over Hungary in the Euro 16 championship.

We have become aquainted with our next door neighbours- Dave and Mike, from Ilfracombe, who are taking their long keeled boat, Sapphire, down to Gibraltar for the summer.

Now, we are off to do some shopping to victual Persephone for the next few days...
