Just a short blog to welcome you to our bit of sea at 25deg 47.406 lat and
15deg 07.059 long.
Currently sitting here in the cockpit, now out of sight of any land, out of
European waters, and back in Moroccan waters. Hello Africa… and yes, the sun
is out.

A first good night’s sail. The weather was kind, and I got to helm for a
full 3 hours in one go, on what was mostly a beautifully star light night.
But just before the sun set, we had a sizeable pod of Atlantic Spotted
dolphins come to play. Neither myself or Colin had seen this species before,
so out came the camera’s – is anyone photo-id’ing Atlantic Spotted?!

I was wondering if I should do this blog in the style of Bridget Jones…?
- Nautical miles travelled today: 142 and counting
- Dolphins: 22 at least!
- Sail changes: 2, so far
- Weight: must get the scales are fixed
- Tins of baked beans: not enough
Perhaps not…

A couple of very large gaff-rigged cutters seen yesterday, but too far away
to identify them. Apart from those, no other sailing boats. And a few
tankers and container ships of course.

Anyway, must get back on watch. So we have the gib poled out, the main tied
off so as not to gybe accidentally, and storming along our planned route
south. Maybe reach Mauritanian waters tomorrow… All being well.
