Land...!!

less than 30 miles to go.... We can both see and smell land... Mixed
emotions as we look south-west towards land, yet can't help looking back
north-east, back out to open sea, from whence we came.
We've come a long way - more than 2000 nautical miles from the Cape Verdes,
which now seem a very long way away. Even further are the Canary Islands
from which Colin, myself and the good ship Pelerin departed in November.
We're all looking forward to berthing safely in the marina, kissing the
ground and getting a large cold beer!
