ACTIVITIES:

REAN:
Got up at 4am and has been keeping an eye on things, the captain and I took a reef out of the main sail, turned on the water maker and plan to pull up the spinnaker when it stops raining so we should pick up a couple of extra knots of speed. He is going to call Mari when she wakes up in the USA but is going for a kip now. I will wake him up at 9.20am

JAN: now Dr Jan
Has been playing tunes from the 70's to a well received audience and sharing his life experience's.
After he came on watch last night he administered Ed with an injection to deal with vomiting - we will see if he chose the correct bottle from the vast array of medical items we have on board kindly provided by Mrs Jan who is the leading Canary Island Emergency Doctor.
Its fair to say we have a substantial first aid kit and medical supplies which will allow is to deal with almost all eventualities.

JULES:
After a delicious meal of chicken and rice with butter and lemon source washed down with my first and only beer of the trip, I had quite a good nights sleep bearing in mind the sea is quite rough and the waves 'slamming' on the bottom of the boat between the two hulls.
Given I like my sleep I went to bed at 8.30 thinking I may have to cover for Ed. In the end I did not.
On watch from 7am (bear in mind we are now 40mins behind GMT), after a cup of tea we shook a reef and then set the water maker working - I don't fancy drinking salt water at such an early stage.
I am feeling on good form as I write this blog.

ED:
Has not been feeling too well since yesterday and is struggling to come to terms with the open sea. Our on board Dr - Jan gave him an injection for vomiting. That reminds me, I must check he is still alive (only joking, he is).
Ed managed to arise for his shift last night and made an entry into the boats log.
Hopefully Ed will be feeling better today and will get some sea air into him.

GENERAL
Good Morning followers,
Further to the info above, I can report that the sun is not shining as yet, in fact as I write the blog its actualy raining, heaven forbid, nevertheless all is well.
The swell is coming from two directions so its not the smoothest of rides but Ive been in far worse, I can at least type this blog.
We have made up some time now that the wind has picked up, so our average speed puts us almost on schedule, there will be further spells of inadequate and wind hopefully we can remain under sail.
As well as running the water maker we have the generator running to charge up the batteries.

It has to be pointed out that the beer is lasting consderbly longer than expected however the cool drinks are well received -
