After a lovely 5 months in Blighty we are back on the boat. The only nasty surprise was the generator which has had to be removed and is not expected back until tomorrow. Otherwise the staysail had to be sent back for further repair but the genoa and mainsail are on; the watermaker needs a new pressure gauge before we try it but the main engine has been serviced.

The weather is almost as bad as England with high winds and temperatures not much better!

Warmer today but high winds again on Monday. Depending on the generator and the wind we may head off to Sicily later next week. Staysail is now on and the watermaker works but the freshwater flush needs a new pump. Mgarr is lovely and we have found some excellent eateries so no problem staying for a bit. K has just made a delicious langouste a l’armoricaine and we are going to the Barber of Seville tonight in one of Gozo’s 2 opera houses.
