We had a nice morning in Meganisi, going for a walk and then playing on the beach with the girls. In the afternoon we motored round to Sivota which is at the southern end of Lefkas Island, near Vassiliki. We had to go here to get the water maker fitted. I won't bother going into the details but instead of having it fitted by professionals, I ended up doing it pretty much all by myself.
We stayed in Sivota, which is a lovely place, for 3 days while this work was being undertaken, and I can only really say that both Fred and I are both very glad that the bloody thing is now fitted and working. It really has been a saga from start to finish, but in the end I am happy I was forced into fitting it myself, as I am now proud of the job, and of the fact that we can now fill our tanks with fresh water at the flick of a switch and without having to go into a port.
The only other thing to be said about our time in Sivota is that while I was slaving away at the plumbing, Fred and the girls went off in a hire car and found some amazing beaches. More info at http://smallhandsondeck.wordpress.com/
