From Camden we motored across to the beautiful island of Islesboro to stay with Diana & Stanley at the Pendleton Yacht Yard. We first met them in their yacht in the Bahamas & it was lovely to meet up again, not to mention the 2 nights in a proper bed & a shower with lots of hot water! After several days of sunshine the weather turned again & we had a rough night on a mooring off Castine - at least it was better than being alongside. In the morning when the fog lifted we motored East down the Eggemoggin Reach to a lovely anchorage off Opechee Island but again were trapped there by fog in the morning.
We're now in Southwest Harbour on Mount Desert Island for the Ocean Cruising Club's 60th Anniversary Rally & the sun is out again. The OCC is only open to sailors who have done a 1 thousand mile offshore passage so we should meet some crusty old salts!

Love to all, Peter & Christene x
