The Quiberon area is famous for the large number of carved menhirs, mounds, stone circles, graves & alignments dated between 2,700 & 4,000 bc. The Carnac Alignments consist of 12 rows of standing stones stretching out over a kilometre - very impressive as were the big French racing trimarans based in La Trinite. We had 3 lovely days with Griff, Jo & the grandchildren in La Trinite & were very sad to leave them. On Friday night we anchored off the tiny island of Hoedic, & on Saturday we close reached the 45 nm to Ile de Yeux in 6 hours in fast, uncomfortable & wet conditions. One of the lazy jacks broke while we were reefing just before arriving, all in all not to the crews liking, so we'll take Sunday off & dry out. C did score top points by winching me up the mast to re reave the lazy jack in the rain. Internet connections are problematic here & we're out of range of the BBC so we'll rely on you to cheer Murray on.
