Out of the water in Lanzarote

Here is the boat out of the water in the yard at Puerto Calero, Lanzarote.    Check out the sleek lines of this Ocean 60 schooner.  Built in about 1984 with a GRP hull and loads of smart mahogany below she weighs in at about 32 tonnes, and should slice through the water a bit quicker this year after a scrape to remove unwanted marine life.   Plus everyone had a good hard look at where the keel joins the hull.

The water-maker has been fixed and the headsail patched.  We just need to get some tuck into the freezers and maybe a few bottles of wine beneath that snug little hatch by the nav table.  Then we will hitch a lift on the trade winds to Antigua, where the boat was last seen in the late 1990s.   Watch this space.
