Very tiring night. I can see how the doldrums used to make sailors go mad. Fickle light wind or none at all- you think you are making gentle progress south with the current then look up at the gps and find youre going back north. Fishing boats all round so reluctant to use the engine in case of snagging another net. Short of battery due to overcast day yesterday so limited use of autohelm. All in all a frustrating night but got through and not feeling too tired at the moment.
Now heading for Salinas under engine and clear of fishing boats (but just gave my last biscuits to another visitor)- around 60miles to go.
