After a short sojourn to Tabarin Bay, 4nm to the east of Pointe à Pitre , we are back anchored off Ilet à Cochons in Petit Cul-de-Sac Marin.  This time we have lots of yachts around us as dredging has really begun in the main channel and all the yachts on the east of the channel have been moved on to join us on the west.   The waters are clearer (although not suitable for snorkelling!) and it is a very much calmer area untroubled by passing freighters and ferries – although the occasional wash does roll us a bit.  The only downside it is a further dinghy ride to shore and can be a rather wet ride as well depending on the weather!
