Hi Everyone,
We have done load of walking here on Reunion Island, the island is a
pleasant surprise, we went to a volcano a 5hour walk & had to start
out a 5.45am it was a 3hr drive to get there, up & down hills and hair
pin bends, also went on the bus up the mountain to the Ravine, again
5.45am start, we got on 3 buses, it took 3hrs to get up there, all for
10Euros for 4 people and that included the return ticket, cheap or what!
When we got there, we had to climb down the ravine, then cross a river,
luckily I didn't fall in, then climb back up again, it's meant to take 3hrs
but us oldes had a few pit stops, we said we where admiring the view!
The views were magnificent and well worth the climb, for any one that
likes walking, this is the place, you can also stay over night in a geet
from 19 euros then carry on further the next day! if you have the energy!

We are still waiting for the weather, so the bonus is we are getting a few
odd jobs done, it is very humid at the moment, but don't think it will last
when we get out to sea.
We have hired a weather router for this part of the journey, we send him
our position every day and he will route us a safe weather passage.
Stu & Laura have got off here as they feel 13 months is long enough to be
on a boat. All ok.
We will probably be leaving on Sat/Sun.
We had a tex from Thames Water board asking us if we would like some
sand bags as there was a flood alert! so I hope it's stopped raining there.
Hope all is well, Love Margaret & Alan xxx
