Sao Jorge Cheese factory!

The cheese factory was interesting, it takes 112 litres to make
one cheese, it is hand turned every day for a week, then to the next
room, where it stays for a month and turned once a week, then the
next room where it stays for 3 months for mild, 4 months for a bit
stronger, then 7 months for the strongest, we brought the 3 month
one as it was all very smelly.
We had to cover up with hats,shoes & coats that they gave us to
wear, all had a good laugh as they are all the same size but look
at the picture and you will see that some look too small and mine
swamps me!
There are 3 times as many cows on the island as people!
When we came out the weather had deteriorated very badly
and could hardly see to drive back, so it was a good job we
didn't have too far to get back to the harbour.
