Sailing to Ascension

We set off at 6.30am yesterday, had a good days sail 6/7/8 knots and
did 160 in 24 hours.
But as dawn broke, the wind disappeared and we had to take the twin
headsails down, put main up but still no good, so motored most of the day with no sails, at 3pm we had some wind so we have now put up
the Cruising Chute. Lat-13.40S - Long-08.11W only doing 5.2 knots
It is 16.00 GMT we have done 208 miles and the sun has come out.

All Ok here, sailing along today with twin headsails up doing 6knots have done 364 miles - Lat12.05S - Long-10.03W at 19.00

2nd Feb,
We are sailing along nicely, doing 5.4 knots, that's Ok as we don't
want to get there in the dark.
We have done 494 miles, with about 226 to go.
Lat-10.30S - Long-11.38W at 17.00 GMT Alan/Dad has been doing Varnishing as weather is warmer and
wave are not so big.
