Sunday night/Monday morning was rather rolly as the wind picked up and swell entered the bay.  There must have been a current as well because the boats were lying at some very strange angles to the wind.  At one time we had over 20 knots of wind but the boat was lying with the wind over the starboard quarter.

On Monday morning Peter & Petra had to return to St Lucia, so after they had left we took a short hop around to Anse Mitan, another bay about 5 miles away.  The weather was pretty bad with strong blustery winds and lots of rain.  We managed to find a space to anchor  and stayed on board for the rest of the day.  In the morning the sun shone and we ventured ashore to find what looked like one of the small seaside towns we had last seen in southern Brittany. The sailing guide book describes Anse Mitan as somewhere that was once a super-chic tourist area but is now a little seedy. This is a pretty accurate description but strangely enough, probably because it reminded me so much of Brittany, I rather liked it. There is also a splendid patisserie where they sell wonderful bread and chocolate gateau.
