It’s been a  great few days for winners and losers. First up on Saturday was Nigel who won the daily sweep for predicting the time that the first swimmer would hit the water after we anchored in Dead

Man Bay, Peter Island.  Anyone who thinks he might have undue influence over this type of event is probably right.  Marcus and James were the next winners when they had the fantastic

experience of swimming with three dolphins that were playing around Oboe.  Trev and James were next to strike gold, when ongoing texts told them that their beloved Bolton Wanderers

had beaten Tottenham 3-2.  Drinks on the house!  No luck yet for Mike whose Coventry lost yet again.

Then it all got even better as Nigel struck a deal with the super-swish Peter Island Resort, allowing him a luxury room for the night and the rest of us access to all of the resort

amenities for the next 24 hours.  Much scrubbing and showering followed, before dinner in the restaurant which was indeed superb.

Sunday morning following breakfast, we all assembled on the beautiful tropical beach for swimming and sunning.  Marcus and James demonstrating their skills on the catamarans

whist the senior sailors impersonated walruses on the powdery white sand.  Inevitably the beach  bar opened and refreshments were taken to the accompaniment of a great steel band.  Nigel’s arrival from the dizzy heights of luxury signaled a late lunch before our deal ran out.  Then we were back in reality.  Engine on, lines off and it’s the open sea again for the Anchorage off Cooper Island.  Oh bother! – the generator has failed.  Oh well dim lights and no power tonight.  We are optimistic, however!  Nigel has already retired to the nerve centre armed with manuals filled with exciting facts about ohms, amps and volts.

Monday morning and Nigel’s fixed it.  Snorkeling on the beach reef before sailing off to our next stop in paradise.  Join us for the next installment which could see us going to the dogs.  Sounds good to me.

Lots of love from all of us to all of you.
