17:03.97N 61:53.01W Sitting Out The Hurricane Season
Oboe looks distinctly uncomfortable out of the water propped
up on stilts, with all of its rigging dismantled and all of its systems shut
down. However, that is what has to be done when leaving a yacht in the
Caribbean during the hurricane season. Oboe, waits patiently on the hard in Antigua for
mid-November, when she will splash back into the water to start her second
Caribbean cruising/racing season. Nigel, the owner/skipper, currently in
London, England is looking forward to cruising new areas of the Caribbean with
a family charter beginning before Christmas in The Grenadines and Tobago Keys. Details of her availability can always be found at www.oboecharters.com, where you can
subscribe to an RSS feed that will keep you up to date with her
activities. If you want to become a “Friend of Oboe D’Amore”
and network with other sailing enthusiasts, many of whom have sailed on Oboe,
simply join the “Oboe D’Amore” group at www.linkedin.com. Fair winds Nigel Backwith |
