We have spent the last few weeks sorting out the boat, getting sails serviced and killing time before we can enter the hurricane zone again. Nick has been checking the boat and I have been sewing again. This time new cushions, mosquito nets and a new bimini - which completes the transformation from blue canvas to black. We have also made friends with the couple from the boat in front of us and plan to leave and head south together in the next couple of days. As new catamaran owners they would like to travel with our experience (hard to imagine myself in that role but it has been 4 nearly 4 years and 9,500 miles). It will be very useful for us too as the replacement dinghy we organised before we left has been a problem and won’t now arrive until the second week in December!
