Our first trip on an Airbus 380 – the huge double decker beasts that seem to defy gravity. Actually it seemed much like any other plane once inside as you are not allowed to change levels at all. The only evidence of its size was the walkway to the plane that had a kind of foyer where passengers divided into upper and lower floors. We arrived in Washington, DC around lunchtime, hired a car and set off for Virginia and supper at Bob and Gails. Gail was at a conference in DC for the night but Bud came for supper and we caught up on events since we last saw each other. Can’t quite believe it is 30 years since we first met Bud .................
