The last few days were stormy as predicted. Many thunderstorms with some that apparently dropped an inch of rain in an hour, with gusts up to 50mph. Not sure if that one hit us but it was very rainy and windy.

Today, however, the weather is calm although cloudy and so we headed north again. This time an overnight sail as there are so few ports on this part of the Florida coast. One of them is Port Canaveral where we spent some time wondering what these strange shapes and stranger wakes were.

Turned out it was a large military submarine! Just beforehand a very large dolphin came up to check us out – obviously a navy outrider!

We also saw this on the coast ....................

This is the Kennedy Space Center on Cape Canaveral, with a significant exclusion zone so we couldn’t get any closer.
