Nick spent all morning arguing with the boatyard about the bill. It is about $3000 more than they quoted and they are not prepared to discuss the discrepancy or put us back in the water until we pay. He capitulated in the end as we need to leave for our sanity. We could take them to court, but tricky as a foreigner and would require we stay here longer. We will however be leaving poor reviews about their service on all of the boating websites we use. It isn’t just us either; many of the other people here are equally dissatisfied.  Seems the days of customer service America was known for are past….. we are back in the water now though which is much better than living on the dirt!
