Today we hired a car and drove to see Bud for coffee. Max and Mendel then took the hire car and drove to Pennsylvania to meet up with Nina and Kurt for the weekend. Chuck came too and ended up spending the afternoon with Bud and Nick in the workshop trying fixing the brake pipes on the car we were going to drive back to Pasadena in. It turned out to be too big a task, so we went to the Old Bust Head brewery again with Bob and Gail to recover.  They have opened their posh new premises since we were there last, but still serve the same delicious / revolting beer (depending on ones’ chromosomes!)

We had supper with Bud at Bob and Gails before driving back to Pasadena in Louis’ old car that Bud lent us instead.
