Left early to escape Staniels Cay before low tide and sailed 43 miles north is sunny skies and blue waters. We arrived at Allans Cay about 16.30. Fantastic little anchorage in the middle of a group of small island, two of which are home to the endangered Bahama Iguanas that are not found anywhere else on earth. The largest native Bahamas creature!  Interesting facts: they can live to 80 yrs old, weigh up to 11kgs, are herbivores, lay up to 10 eggs in nests during June and July, take 80 days to hatch and are protected by Bahamian and International Law.  They are also happy to share their beach with the odd tourist!

Today ended with a spectacular thunderstorm with so much lightening….
