Day 17 has been mostly uneventful so far, unless you consider staring at fishing lines or deciding what animals the clouds most resemble an event. The winds are certainly cooperating these days and we are making good progress however, we have found ourselves in a bit of a mental doldrum today. Conditions are a bit too lumpy to allow for most jobs to be done and we are anxious to step upon dry land and stretch our restless legs.

Never mind, spirits are still soaring like the startled flying fish that abound here and the boat continues to perform well. A great argument erupted today over how best to utilise the dwindiling remains of our fresh produce. Among the survivors are red cabbage, pumpkin and beetroot. I'm in favor of pumpkin/beetroot muffins but I'm afraid that the fate of the remaining veggies lies in the hands of the one in charge of provisions and I think she has other ideas.
