Hi everyone.

Well after all the excitement of the half way mile stone and the marlin things have calmed down a bit. The boats ahead have talked about more wind so we have been prepared but today was very light for us. We have even resorted to some engine time this evening as the wind has dropped off so much.

We saw another brightly lit boat last night about 10pm. Again - on a collision course with us. Strange that we have seen 3 boats this whole trip, all of which have been on a collision course, weird looking fishing boats and no answer on the radio. Anyway we avoided him as he came past lights ablaze.

It started off as a bit of a boring morning for us, both of us not feeling overly motivated until we looked up and saw some large splashes. 2 sperm whales breaching and fluke splashing about 300m in front of the boat. It was amazing to see. We got quite close to one who had stopped jumping (maybe 30m) and it was wonderful to see. Amazing creatures. As we passed we watched them breaching behind us for as long as we could still see the splashes in the distance.

Nicks curry special tonight - smelling amazing!
