So we arrived safe and well  to Cabo de Vela Colombia about 10 am local time. We had a good sail over night with winds between 10-15knts most of the night which meant we could get some good miles done. Nick and I were on watches through the night and we let Matt sleep, although it was pretty rolly so sleeping on a boat sailing downwind takes some getting used to. We had a few snaggles through the night so a few more jobs now on the board. Nothing major and nothing to worry about too much.

Nick had some dolphins with him through the night and I was treated to a lovely sunrise this morning . We then motored our way into a dead calm anchorage with a small village mostly made of grass and wood  huts. Only one other boat here - none other than our cruising oracles Derek and Alison (soon they are going to realize we are just following them around haha). After some quick hellos we hurriedly got the dinghy in the water as we had spotted some surf on the way in. We then had 2hours surfing a lovely right point break 2-3ft. Matt used my paddleboard as a long board and managed to get heaps of waves and out surf both Nick and I. After all that fun we headed back to the boat for some bitterballen (delicous dutch snacks) and naps.

We plan to head off for our next leg tomorrow afternoon - it will be an overnight and a half a day (as long as we have some wind). To an area they call 5 bays.
