After some time with Nicks family in Florida we said our goodbyes and Nick flew to the big island Hawaii and I flew back to the UK. 

I had a great time staying with my wonderful sister and her family. They looked after me so well! I applied for so many jobs and ended up trying out a windsurfing job in Fuerteventura – It didn’t go so well so I ended up working in the UK for a bit for a watersports company in Poole.

After a while it looked like it might work for me to also go to Hawaii so I flew over to join Nick. He was working for a fish farming operation there diving on the cages and also working in the hatchery. 

We really enjoyed our time in Hawaii. We were able to meet some wonderful people (mainly our amazing house family where we lived), we loved being a part of Ronen and Liz’ lives for a bit. We also loved spending time with their amazing 3 dogs Lucy, Hoku and Iire. 

We had a lot of adventures as well including hiking out to an active lava flow in the middle of the night (which was joining the ocean), finding a ‘natural’ water slide in the jungle by following old drainage tunnels, snorkeling, surfing etc. 

We spent almost every evening talking about the boat and planning our return. After 3 months time came to an end quickly and it was time to head to Colorado to see Nicks Mum and Dad and then onto Florida again to fly back to the boat in Aruba.
