Title: We are in Coffs Harbour

Our position is 30:18:25S 153:08:79E
We have moved Necessity so that we are outside the official cyclone area. Coffs have a nice marina and a small area for storing boats on the dry.
Coming down from Brisbane we almost collided with two humpback whales. We had them alongside less than two meters away when suddenly the dived, raising their tails and diving centimeters under the keel. Tore thought they were going to hit, but apparently they knew what they were doing. It was a majestic and slightly nervy experience. These whales are ignorant of the fact that we are supposed to stay more than 50 meters away. In Australian waters we have also been in close proximity with Pilot whales and numerous dolphins.
During this passage we had nice northerly winds and very strong currents behind us. It is the first time we have done 200nm in 24 hours. That was just as well. Five hours after we had landed it was blowing 35-40 knots from the south. At the time of writing Tore has left and I am busy preparing the boat for storage. If you observe Necessity moving in the next four months there is something wrong!
We will be back in the spring (or the autumn if you are in the southern hemisphere) .
