We have spent a week at catergena, it's a beautiful city rich with roman history and our visit conincided with carnival week. The locals really get into the carnival thing, there must be 1000 people with full on roman dress up kit. We are not talking your 20 euro Chinese shop rubbish either, these guys have proper brass adornments and armour, real leather and real animal skins. It was very refreshing to meet some other families too and the girls have had a real blast this week with daily pontoon beater battles, shooting, rollerblading, a mass sleep over (5 girls) and a great fairground party for Aranya's upcoming 9th. Sad to leave but it was a bit expensive on the daily rate, anyway we have things to do so with a break in the adverse weather we are now 'sailing' direct to Gibraltar, naturally this requires use of the Mediterranean rig at 2000rpm.
