A pretty windless 200 mile very slow and pretty horrible trip but the fish count was good. A double strike of yellowfin tuna at about 7kilos each, unfortunately after landing the first the second took off peeling line out like mad and bending the rod over double. After a while the rod straigtened up suddendly and a fish head came flying up out of the wave, our second tuna had been eaten by a shark, ironic that and all we got was a torn up head which is what we normally feed back to the sharks. Next, just trolling a single line was a huge mahi mahi, his partner was there too in the wave behind the boat, I messed up the gaffing and we lost him at the boat along with our most expensive lure. Finally a nice wahoo, landed but he has totally trashed the brand new lure that I put out with all those razor teeth of his.

We are now anchored in Tahiti, we are yet to go ashore. Mixed blessings here as in Tahiti you can reportedly buy pretty much anything, there's much we need but it was nice not being able to spend money in the other places. Outboard parts, watermaker parts and beer top my list.
