WIND ENE 8-10 COG 240 SOG 5.2 RUN 178

Yuk, I hate this type of sailing, light wind blowing directly to our destination and no spinnaker. Flying main and genoa we have to cut angles to get the best vmg and be out of the involuntary gybe zone, with poor forward speed the sea knocks us around more and the boom lurches regularly, flogging the mainsail to death, snatching the rigging and fraying tired minds. To make matters more frustrating the forecast reads pretty well and we were not expecting such light winds for another 3 or 4 days. The single consolation is that we are able to make water, but as I said I'd rather arrive earlier and smelly, not sure if the girls agree they are desperate to have a decent wash (Hi Jenny ;-).

Marshmallow slice is all gone, oh that was delicious but boiling pots of sugary syrup on passage is not something I'd recommend as consequence of a spill could be nasty indeed. The girls made a delicious fish curry last night and Denise whipped up a banana loaf for desert. Cerviche for lunch and um brain food for tea anyone?
