We still have wind which is not at all what the forecast says so we are very pleased and sailing along comfortably, eeking away at that rather daunting distance number ahead of us without reverting to the engine. Winds are still a little on the light side for us but we will get a touch more the further we go.

The helicopter we saw yesterday must have come from a large tuna ship that we saw later on. I think they have caught everything as we have had no luck yet, one strike that bit off half of the lure but no hookup. The kids suggested that the Easter Bunny had probably used the helicopter to make his delivery yesterday. Being a non chocolate eater I have devoured the vast majority of hot cross buns that Denise made prior to departure.

Carrotatastrophe, to bolster our supplies in the fresh fruit department we stocked up large on carrots in San Christobel. All locally grown fruit and veg is organic, the carrots are enormous however just a day and a half in we have found them to be going rotten. Luckily we spotted it in time and have now peeled and chopped the good bits and put them in the fridge.

Denise harvested a dozen squid off the deck this morning, we will try them fried in salt, pepper, lime for lunch.
