Sailed overnight in light winds to Tortolla, it was a slow but comfortable run on the parasailor. No fish despite trolling our new super lure on the duty free billfish rod setup we acquired in St Martin. Still having battery capacity issues despite replacing all and adding one in st Martin. We are certain that is is our freezer robbing the power but very reluctant to do without it now..

We are Anchored for the night at peters island which reminds us a lot of Greece, nothing ashore warm clean water and bleating goats in the scrub. It is sooo nice to be away from St. Martin, the girls had a bit of a dip and have been mucking around in the Kayak. Tomorrow some well needed R&R after a rather hectic time in St Martin. Next job is to figure out the crazy American visa entry requirements, every other country is content for us to rock up, hand over passports and fill in forms. Americans work differently!

We think we need to apply online for a visa waiver, then take a public ferry or fly to a US territory then come back to the boat then go with the boat back to a US territory and apply to get a cruising permit. One cannot simply sail right in. Anyway, the US Virgin Islands are half a mile or so from the British Virgin Islands so we will get a ferry there and back to play the silly game. Still, at least they won't steal all of our food like the Kiwi's and Aussies will.
