Yesterday afternoon and evening we were still close hauled on starboard tack trying hard not to sag off to the North. Looking at the 3 hourly log entries absolutely nothing of note happened until, with the wind dying and a fishing boat heading for us, I decided it was a good time to start the engine. That was 23:30 last night and the engine is still running, all be it on slow revs, to keep us going at 5 kts. Earlier today we had a little help from a very light breeze from the south east but as forecast the wind has gone dead calm and what can be detected is coming straight from the east. It is predicted to rise a little from that direction over the next 24 hours. We calculate  with 262 Nm left to Flores that, in calm conditions, we have enough diesel to get us there.
It is a slow news day here today, but I can report that the "no need to knead" bread packets have been mastered and the wholemeal loaf made for lunch today was excellent.
It is a hot sunny and subdued day, resting in the cockpit being swapped for resting on your bunk as the watches change.
