Mon 24 Jun 2013 17:55
Our position is 37:54.37N 48:14.52W

114 miles travelled in the last 24 hrs.

We had a reasonable breeze until midnight yesterday (~10 NE), when it dropped.  We limped along until 5 AM when we fired up the engine.  All went well until 6 AM when the oil alarm sounded and we shut it down. Ted found about 2 quarts of oil in the engine bilge.  After cleanup he found the leak to be a hole in the nylon tubing leading to an auxiliary oil pressure gauge.  The tubing was cut and plugged and we were back underway at 8:45 AM.

Since then we have been chugging along under blue skies in calm seas.  Weather outlook for wind is not good, with not enough wind in the forecast for several days.  The crew is keeping an eye on the sky (blue), sea (also blue) and clouds (mostly white).

We hope to be able to keep the most impressive tiger away from the most wonderful zebra.
